Hi,
I would love to attend this event. However I was wondering if you were aware that this is the same time as Gay Pride Day/Parade, it may be very crowded in that area and perhaps, like me, many maybe partaking in Pride, perhaps a reschedule? But, I will definitely look for upcoming events.
Cheers,
Anissa
Hi Anissa!
Thanks for your interest in the event. In my view, the coincidental date gives more reason to celebrate the diverse group of information professionals in our area, so we do not plan to reschedule the event. We are hoping that those who venture out to meet us will enjoy rainbow themed drinks in honor of Pride. The *hope* is that the Embarcadero will be less crowded by 1 PM as the parade, beginning at 10:30 AM, moves away from that area. It will certainly be an adventure, and I am looking forward to it.
If you are unable to make it down to celebrate and socialize with us this Sunday, we’d love to have you at one of our future events. The Information Professionals Social Club hosts monthly events in the Bay Area.
Happy Pride,
Stephanie
